The client in this housing project is a young, modern couple who lives abroad and has a combination of requirements for their space. On the one hand, the purpose is to use this house as a holiday home and on the other hand it is necessary to use the house more permanently, with the possibility of home office.
The decisive design factor was the adaptability and ease of change in the space. The entrance area is opened and remodeled with the creation of an office, which is a continuation of the fireplace construction. The whole look with the specially made fireplace, the closed bookcases and the sideboard that runs through the whole wall and has a dual use as a seat and a fireplace, is a custom-made proposal, extremely adapted only for this specific space.
Following the design, the living room opens, bright and airy to the terrace with wonderful sea views. It unites and separates from the kitchen conceivably with the creation of a kitchen island – dining room. The corridor left for circulation is
dominated by the specially constructed library, which takes advantage of the pre-existing arched opening for the proposal of elegant furniture and the creation of storage space for the many books and small items existing.
In terms of materials, the palette is bright, with earthy tones in bohemian style. Carefree and relaxed style, with uniquely designed objects, create a special home with a sense of relaxed luxury. At the same time, modern materials are integrated in the composition, which express the users character, such as in the kitchen where the natural stone is combined with metal.
The lighting study also contributes to the direction of relaxation, the emergence of colors and natural light, without omitting light sources for concentration, work and reading. Finally, a special basis is given to the combination of different textures, soft throws and carpets, wooden furniture, low fabric sofas and decorations with statement designs that create a cozy and welcoming feeling throughout the house.
